DAN GRAY PASTEL ARTIST
“Painting…a gathering of the senses”
“I paint from life….of life” – Dan Gray
Dan will provide a demo for us on July 14th. He has been working in pastels since 1975, and is designated a Premier Pastelist of Canada by
The Pastel Society of Canada.
Dan does landscape and figurative paintings, always en plein air in an impressionistic style, and also loves painting motorcycles and cars blended in a colourful nature.
His awards also include Plaque of Distinction (1990), 1st place Silver Pastel Plate (1994) and the inaugural award for Excellence and Dedication to Pastel (2000).
Rain or shine will find Dan outside painting scenes like “Moorcroft vue” or the craggy rocks and foliage of a west coast shoreline or a moist marshy vision of Brant Point. His paintings are collected across Canada and internationally.
